What is physical beauty? Why do so many people try so hard to be the most beautiful or the most attractive people around? I just don't understand. It's like, the mirror controls our destiny. But what does James say about us looking in the mirror? We shouldn't be like those who look in the mirror and forget what we saw. We should remember. Always. And act accordingly. And our mirror is the Word of God. Not a piece of glass, imperfect, flawed. The Word of God stands forever. It cannot break or be shattered. It cuts deep into the hearts of men, much deeper than the reflection in a mirror cuts into our worldy minds. We can choose to look in the mirror and live according to the fleshly desires of our deceitful hearts, or we can look into the Word of God and live according to the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. We can hear the Word of God spoken and later on forget what we heard, never again to rethink what we heard. Or we can remember and give new life to those thoughts throughout the day and the next and so on. And we can apply that which we hear to our own daily lives, being transformed to the character of Christ.

We can hear "In all your ways acknoqledge Him, and He shall direct your paths" and then walk away with empty hearts. Or we can acknowledge Him in everything! and trust in Him to lead and to guide every step. To decide what to do or where to go or how to live... "O LORD, I know the way of man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps."

Why isn't your life moving forward? Why are you stuck? Christ wants to walk with you. He wants you to keep moving. IN HIM. The rest will follow. "If you will not believe, surely you shall not be established." Stand in Christ. Or linger without Him. It's your choice. What is your will?
