Probation Officer Fired For Supporting Prop 19
Law Enforcement Against Prohibition has created a petition in support of Joe Miller, a deputy probation officer in Arizona who was fired in retaliation after he signed a letter in support of Proposition 19, California's marijuana legalization initiative.

It seems completely surreal to me that anyone would need to have it explained to them that firing public servants for expressing a political opinion is a bad idea. Who could possibly mistake this for rational or conscionable behavior?
