Work was...fun....
So, I'm surprised that my day went quickly when I feel like I really didn't accomplish much...a very odd feeling for me, a person who must be multi-tasking every moment of the day....lol. Instead, today, I was learning the ropes at my new job, and I rather enjoyed it. I got to work around 9 or so, and read through some stuff on computer use, then I got myself set up on my computer and the system via a call down to Anchorage and getting set up and stuff. Then Mari went to lunch and I stayed so I could answer the phone and stuff...I figured out how to answer the phone---I'd make a good secretary, eh? ;) Then I went to lunch, and as I was walking out of the building, wondering where I was going to go, I realized that someone had called me, and it was Sophia, so while I'm trying to listen to her message, she's calling me! lol. So I answer the phone, and Sophia wants to go to lunch. yay. Perfect timing. So we go out to Quizno's with my hour-long lunch break. :) Then I head back to the office, where I get to go and get the mail from the downstairs lobby and collect mail from the court....then I process the mail...Then I get to run around again filing a brief and mailing a brief. Fun stuff. I found out that the security guards really don't work much. hahah. All they do is hang around at the entry to the third floor and chat...haha. Note to self: I should be a security guard. So anyways....I found out that I am all alone with Mr. Cooper tomorrow!!! *shocked Yeah....Mari isn't going to be there, so I'll be in charge of the office. Wow...second day on the job...and I'm already in charge. ;) I also found out that there's going to be another intern at the office...an actual law student, who is going to be a Law clerk (which I also kind of am) although she is not paid, and I am...hmm...I hope she's okay with that....lol. I hope she's nice..... :S We'll see how that goes. She starts on Monday. :) Anyways....I have to go file my FAFSA, so I guess I should get on that....Pray for me tomorrow that I don't screw something up!! lol
