Mendy has a small hernia and he also had constipation as a small baby (probably like age four weeks). i never put the 2 together. however if you still havent seen a pediatrician you should really take him. this way your fears will be allayed and you'll have a code for next time. I think it's so kewl that you can make pedi appts online!
Try drinking some prune juice, and see if he doesn't feel the effects from the breast milk. If that doesn't work, see if you can get him to take about a 1/4 tsp of prune juice directly, maybe by putting in on the tip of your finger one drop at a time and letting him suck on it. Sunkist prune juice is kosher l'pesach (at least here in the States), and it will probably help a lot. Poor little guy probably doesn't feel like pushing against an owie spot!
Rivka had really bad constipation for the first two years, and prune juice was the only thing that helped. Once she quit drinking milk and switched to rice milk it cleared right up, but she has this lactose reaction that is not quite an allergy, and it affects different parts of her system. (for example, we've had to switch back to milk for Pesach, and she's snoring like a bulldog right now. She only does this when she's had too much dairy.)
