A list.

For some reason, I'm going to make a list of things that are happiness-inducing for me.  Maybe it'll be useful somehow.  It's possible that someone else will have a better day because they're thinking about good things, and it's possible that I will be more motivated to pursue these happiness things.

So here's the list.

Things that fulfill me!
1. Sunshine.
2. A clean room.
3. All obligations being completely done by 9:00 PM.
4. A successful practicing session.
6. Exercise.
7. Spending time with friends and making new ones.
8. A good night's sleep.
9. Making others happy/cheering others up.
10. Having a great packed lunch all ready to go the night before and then eating it the next day.
11. Positive feedback from others.
12. Medals in S.O.

Hmm, well it started out as "Things that make me happy", but I changed the title to more accurately reflect the content.  This list contains the elements that combine within me to make me feel a sense of peace with myself and with the world.  It was a useful exercise after all, although this list probably isn't cheering to anyone else.

It's sort of interesting-- sifting though and finding things that fulfill me also forced me to recognize the things that don't do it for me.  One of those, interestingly enough, is my report card.  I don't really find fulfillment in getting good grades, which is strange, considering the amount of time I spend studying and doing homework.  I also discovered that watching movies/reading books/playing computer games, other things that I do often, don't do anything either.

Thus, I challenge anyone who's still reading this to make a list for yourself, whether on your journal or in private.  The things you put on yours don't have to be deep (I mean, come on, a good packed lunch?), but the list is about distilling what produces the deepest feelings of satisfaction in you.  It seems to have been useful to me, although we'll see how it works out.

Hmm, sort of a weird post.  But you guys should still make lists.
