So my Aunt Sharon finally showed up. (She has been meaning to drive here from her home in Washington, DC since Mother's Day, but makes these strings of excuses.) She brought Grandma along, and left her at our house when she found out something was wrong with her car. She spent several hours in the dealer, during which they couldn't fix the fact that the key wouldn't come out of the lock, declined to make a new key, (so Aunt Sharon could lock her car) and decided they needed to take the console apart. Which won't happen until Monday, and she's supposed to leave Sunday. Absolutely fabulous, dealer!! XP
Aunt Sharon also brought a red cotton velveteen (sp?) dress she found that she wore as the Valentine's Day "queen" in her freshman year of college. It's really pretty, and it fits me well. (Except for the bust. But you really didn't need to know that.)
Mom called her "hyper."
I started Aunt Nancy's socks, and I'm almost done with the cuffs and ready to start the heel. Looking at it makes me want to knit on it more, and I'm tempted to post a picture of it, since I think that a sock-in-good-progress is one of the most compelling things for knitting there is. Speaking of which, one of Mom's friends' son, who is about my age, "desperately wants to learn how to knit." Mom suggested that I come to the office on an afternoon and teach him. It makes me really happy that he wants to learn, because it gives me one more person to convert to the knitting cause.
:) :) :)
Oh yes, and Hannah? Your mom had TWINS. (In the Sims 2, of course.) I didn't know it was even possible to have twins. They were both girls, so I named them Mollie and Rosalyn. (Everyone in the family likes Ros better than Mollie, which makes me laugh.)
