Really Hollywood? A remake of Red Dawn?

I can't decide which is worse -- destroying the campy perfection that was the original, or the festival of stupid that will result from plot built on a Chinese invasion of America followed by "help from the Russians." How, exactly, would the Chinese need to invade the U.S. for our oil? That plot premise requires a deep level of ignorance and denial about the extent to which we've already borrowed so much money from the Chinese government that we pretty much owe them all of our oil reserves into perpetuity ... and then some.
