Макасар: другое отношение к истории / Makassar: a different view on history
Сегодня я в славном городе Макасаре, провинция Южное Сулавеси. В отличие от Явы, здесь колониальные памятники не разрушаются, а поддерживаются. На снимке форт Роттердам.
Today I am in the glorious city of Makassar, province of South Sulawesi. Unlike in Java, here the colonial architecture is not decaying, but carefully maintained. The picture is of Fort Rotterdam.
Внутри форта в двух зданиях музеи, исторический с портретами султанов и этнографический с рыбацкими снастями и сельскохозяйственными орудиями, управление культуры, а в бывшей церкви - зал для мероприятий.
Inside the fort there are two museums, one of history with portraits of sultans, and one of ethnography, with fishing implements and agricultural tools, the department of culture and a meeting hall in the former chirch.
В форт даже приезжают в свадебных костюмах с фотографами. Кстати, интересно, что идея мужского и женского свадебного костюма здесь построена не на противоположности, а на подобии.
People even come here in wedding dresses with photographers. Note thet the idea of the wedding costume here is based not on opposites (like Russians' black suite and white dress), but on similarity.
