OW. OW. OW. I was bouncing around the intrawebz, researching Magnus Greel, and then I came upon this and screamed in horror. (For those of you who don't know, I'm a native speaker of Russian.) Why must people pull Russian names out of their ass? Whyyyy? Seriously, the idea of the story sounded interesting, but the names alone guarantee that I will never read that book. English speakers, to feel my pain, here's an explanation: imagine if you were reading a Dr. Who book written about English characters by a Russian speaker where characters were named stuff like Reason Dagger (Razum Kinzhal), Angel Little (Angel Malenkaya), Soul (Dusha) or Might (Mogushestvo), and all the English-sounding last names seemed like something a name generator puked up on a bad day...
