This update should come as a surprise. For warning, I don't have any idea how to change to this lettering if the alphabet should somehow be switched to cyrillic. The trip is amazing. I'll have story upon story to relate when/if I ever get back. The if is a distinct possibility considering a typhoon was headed up the coast last time I checked and the weather here sucks right now....If I miss the flight tomorrow, the next one out is next Friday, so a week to chill in Peretunka and to get even farther behind in o-chem. I'm staying about 45km outside of Petropavlovsk right now in a house that belongs to the Russian Academy of Sciences Institute of Volcanology. I've seen huge bears, erupting volcanoes, and an untold number of hot springs. I've caught my own salmon and picked fresh blueberries outside of my tent. I've frozen and sweated, gone without seeing the sun and been sunburned, and discovered alot about people I've only known for three weeks. Clue: to key into the gay, Russian subculture mention Better Than Chocolate. Reminder: Czech wine, very very bad. Special "tea" with blueberries and "water" very very good. I hope the pictures I took with my crappy disposable cameras turn out and I'll see you by Sunday!
