So I promised Prom pictures. And I'll oblige, even though I don't think anyone cares, just because I like showing off my pretty dress. It was suuuuuch a fun night.
This is me and Rebecca all pretty. I can't get the stupid picture of just me to work :(
Everyone came to my house at 5:30 for pictures. It was a mass of parents just attacking us taking pics. It was kinda scary.
Me and my adoreable date Steve :)
All of us girls! Aren't we perdy?
Us in front of our amazing Hummer limo. It was SOOO cool on the inside. It had all these lights and cheesy fiber optics. But still way cool.
All of us at Six Flags Great America the next day. Let me tell you, roller coasters on 4 hours of sleep is SO much fun :)
All in all, a perfect weekend. The amazing limo picked us up at 6:30 and took us to the Marriott in the city where the dance was. We got there, checked in, and stood around with everyone taking pictures. Then it was time to eat. The food was okay. The soup and dessert were amazing, but the salad was gross and the main course was just okay. After dinner we danced for a while, but it was a live band that played music that was kinda awkward to dance to.
At 10:30, we left the dance to go to the Melting Pot, which is a fondue restaurant downtown. We got a bunch of dessert fondues, which were delish and really fun to eat with 14 other people. Then we had the limo driver just drive us around the city for a while, and then we headed back up to my house. Everyone "slept" over (there was little sleeping involved). We watched Team America, which is hilarious and creepy. The next morning, my parents made us all breakfast and we got ready and went to six flags. Where the weather was PERFECT and we got to ride a ton of rides, since the lines were weirdly really short. We went to Steak and Shake for lunch, which was my first experience. Then we all went home and literally just crashed. I slept for soooo long.
It was a fantastic weekend. My date was adoreable, and it was so nice to get to go to a dance with a real date for once. Everyone got along fantastically, even the random folks in our group. I couldn't have asked for a better senior prom. :)
