Summary: Dean learns about Sam and Gabriel's relationship. His reaction is not what Sam was expecting.
Sam couldn’t help but panic when Dean walked in on him and Gabriel. Aside from Jessica (and Madison at first), his brother hadn’t reacted very well to the various partners he had been with over the years.
“It’ll be okay,” Gabriel assured his panicked boyfriend. He gave him an encouraging smile and conjured up a piece of chocolate candy. He began to eat it.
Dean came back into the hotel room after bolting outside to think for a few minutes. “Are you happy with him, Sammy?”
Sam sighed. “Yes, I am. I love him,” he admitted to Dean. He hadn’t meant to fall in love with Gabriel, but he had.
“What about you, Gabriel?” Dean wanted to have all of his bases covered here. He didn’t want Sam getting hurt or tricked again.
“I love this moron, too.” Gabriel conjured up another piece of candy and handed it to the older Winchester.
“Then I give you my blessing or whatever. Now get out of here so I can watch TV in peace. I don’t want to hear you two making out or anything.” It had taken a lot for Dean to give his blessing, but he had actually done it. He felt better now.
A suddenly tearful Sam moved closer to his brother and hugged him. “Thank you so much, Dean.” He pulled away a few seconds later and discretely wiped the tears from his face.
“Yeah, yeah. No chick flick moments, Sam. And get me some pie from wherever you’re going,” Dean ordered.
An extremely happy Sam grabbed Gabriel’s hand and they left the motel room. “So, you good now?” Gabriel questioned.
“I’m great now, Gabe.” Sam was going to be bringing back two pies for Dean instead of his normal one.
It meant the world to Sam that Dean had given them his blessing for their relationship. It was a wonderful gift.
