Summary: When Maura has a bad day, Jane is there to comfort her.
“I’m such a mess. How can you love me?” a crying Maura Isles questioned her girlfriend. Today had been one of the worst days of her life, and her self esteem was at an all time low.
Jane didn’t tell Maura she loved her very much, but she knew she had to today. Maura needed her to be strong for her. “I love you for so many reasons, Babe. You make me happy. You’re my best friend. You’re a great person, Maura. You’re beautiful and sexy.” She smiled at Maura.
Maura gave her a watery smile. “Thanks, Jane.” She still felt horrible, but her spirits were starting to lift. Maura should have known that Jane wouldn’t let her wallow like this.
“You don’t have to thank me. I just want you to feel better.” Jane rubbed circles on Maura’s back to calm her down some more.
“I love you, too, by the way. It’s just been a really bad day today.” Maura choked back another sob. She wished she could stop crying.
“I know it’s been, but I’m here.” Jane hugged her girlfriend. She smiled at her again, hoping she’d helped.
As long as Maura had Jane, she’d be okay.
