Shelby Corcoran smiled at Beth as she prepared a bottle for the newborn. She’s only a week old, and loves music.
Beth was her second chance at motherhood. Shelby regretted not having a relationship with Rachel, but it’s too late. She wished it wasn’t, though. Shelby dreaded Rachel’s reaction when she found out about the adoption.
“I love you, Beth,” Shelby whispered. She began to sing to the baby as she fed her. Shelby’s not planning on ruining her second chance.
Beth will know all about her biological parents. Shelby’s making sure of that.
She’s going to do this right.
