Summary: Changing Channels coda. Gabriel joins the brothers and Castiel in fighting the Apocalypse. Gabriel and Castiel fight a lot.
When Gabriel decided to join the Winchesters and Castiel in fighting the Apocalypse, all three were wary. Would he act more like the Trickster or more like an angel?
It was hilarious to Dean when he and Sam had to stick Castiel and Gabriel in the backseat of the Impala.
“Why can’t we teleport to the warehouse?” questioned a whining Gabriel. The backseat was not a fun place to be.
“Because we don’t want to scare the demon off,” Castiel answered. It wasn’t great being stuck back here with his older brother.
“Because we don’t want to scare the demon off,” Gabriel mocked. Just because he was one of the good guys now didn’t mean he had to be nice all the time.
Sam stifled a laugh from the passenger seat. The “Cas and Gabriel Show” was hilarious. “Guys, stop fighting,” he warned.
“He’s the one that started it!” Castiel cried. He didn’t even do anything to Gabriel.
Dean unsuccessfully tried to hold back a laugh. “He started it, Cas?” He could definitely see that.
Gabriel rolled his eyes and then snapped his fingers. “You happy now, Cas?”
“Give me back my coat! You can’t make it disappear like that.” Castiel was fuming now.
“You can’t have it,” taunted Gabriel. He was going to make the coat reappear, but it was the principle of the thing. Besides, he was Castiel’s big brother. He had to do these types of things.
“Dean, they remind me of little kids,” Sam whispered to his brother.
Dean looked back for a second. Castiel was pouting (actually pouting!) and Gabriel looked pleased with himself.
“Stop looking like that, Castiel.” Gabriel couldn’t taunt the angel anymore and snapped his fingers again. The brown coat reappeared on Castiel.
“Thank you, Gabriel.” Cas was pleased that his brother had relented.
There was a pause. “You’re welcome, Cas.” Gabriel couldn’t believe Castiel and the Winchesters had turned him back into this, but he didn’t mind all that much.
When the Winchesters and the two angels returned from their hunt, Castiel and Gabriel were fighting once again.
It may be the Apocalypse, but everything was still normal for the angel brothers and their human friends.
Fighting included.
