A/N: I love this song so I made it into a song fic.
It was suppose to be a oneshot but I had fun writing so it became a two-shot three-shot.
One game question kept me up
2 AM, who do you love?
I wonder till I'm wide awake
I know I'm pacing back and forth
Wishing you were at my door
I'd open up and you would say 'hey'
It was enchanting to meet you
All I know is I was enchanted to meet you
Meg’s POV
“Today is really a special day, Otanjobi omedetou hime! I’m glad that you were born! he said as he kissed my hand and then handed me his present. His gesture surely sent me to cloud nine.
“Arigatou, Ryu-kun” I manage to reply even though I’m still in a daze with the words that he said. He then told me to get inside because it’s freezing outside. I grudgingly bid him goodbye.
I lied on my bed trying to sleep but without luck. Flashes of my magical moment with Ryu kept on playing in my mind. I felt like I’m a character in fairy tale, the damsel in distress who finally met her prince charming. Speaking of prince charming I think the word suits him well. He really charmed his way to my puny heart. Then I realized something that made me jolt upright. What if I’m not her princess? Sure he called me princess but because that’s what Miki called me. I sat on my bed suddenly worried of the possibility that he could be in love with someone else. I need to find out if he has a girlfriend. I grab my cellphone and dialed Miki’s number.
“Moshi, moshi Nii-chan? I need to ask you something” I said and waited. for Miki’s response.
“Yes, doshte Meg-chan? He asked sleepily, I heard him yawn.
“Does Ryu have a girlfriend?” I queried anxiously.
“You woke me just to ask that?” he chuckled.
“Say it already, so that you could go back to sleep” I coaxed
“He broke up with his girlfriend a couple of months ago, now that you know, can I go back to sleep?” he asked
“Hai,hai, Oyasumi!” I replied, relieved about the fact that Ryu doesn’t have a girlfriend. I’m so excited to tell Chii about Ryu, so I decided to visit him the next day.
It’s quarter to 11 when I woke up.
“Shimatta, I overslept! Maaaa…I’ll visit Chinen this afternoon” I said making my way to the bathroom. I washed my face and brushed my teeth. I then went to my dresser and comb my hair. After my morning ritual I called up Chinen to tell him I’ll be visiting him. I then went downstairs still wearing my pajama. I headed straight to the kitchen and found Miki by the stove. Another person emerged from the scullery carrying a pan.
“Hey princess” Ryu greeted chuckilng when he saw me in my pajamas.
“Hey” I answered before it dawned on me who I was talking to. My eyes widen as I recognized him.
“Ehh? Doshte koko ni?” I suddenly asked that they were startled.
“Miki invited me, he said he want to eat okonomiyaki so I’m here” he explained.
Oh great, I’m really excited to see him again but not like this, not while I’m wearing my pajama with Piglet print all over it. This is embarrassing, I looked at Miki with a “why did you not tell me you invited him” expression.
“Meg, you help Ryu prepare the okonomiyaki, I need to go to the hotel because mom just called and she wants me there” he said and whispered gomen ne as he passed.
“So, what should I do” I asked trying to sound cheerful.
“Why don’t you go and change your pajama first” he suggested, grinning at me.
“Hai, I’ll be right back” I nodded. I quickly changed to my pink floral dress and put on my apron. By the time I went back to the kitchen he is mixing the batter. He told me to shred the cabbage. After that we sliced the meat ingredients. He let me mixed all the ingredients with the batter as he heated the griddle. While we were doing all this stuff we talked about our favorite food. I told him I really like tuna, he on the other hand has an obsession for strawberries. We then decided to make tuna sand which and strawberry smoothies the next time we hang out. When we were done cooking the okonomiyaki, we were delighted to look at the finished product. And we happily eat it while talking about Miki.

They say that some good things never last, when I checked my watch it’s half past twelve already I suddenly remembered that I’m suppose to visit Chii at the hospital. I told him that we could hang out some other time since I need to visit Chii. He offered to drive me to the hospital. He was unusually quiet as he drove, unlike last night where he kept on cracking up jokes. I sat at the passenger’s seat trying to engage him in a conversation but he just answered shortly and curtly nods to show he’s listening. I started to become annoyed by his sudden cold treatment, so I decided to let out my irritation. I asked him to roll down the window and then…
“Ryo-kun you’re such a BUTA! I shouted not looking at him.
Kring…Kring…Kring
“Moshi moshi, Mana-chan… I’m driving my friend to the hospital because she will visit someone in there” he answered.
I fight the urged to look at him. I don’t want him to know I’m eavesdropping so I busied myself by singing a random song. I know I sounded awful but I can’t help it, I don’t want to listen to their conversation.
“Okay I’ll see you later” he replied his expression suddenly bright.
I stopped singing and looked at him.
“I will just drop you off the hospital Meg, I need to see someone, will you be okay?” he asked.
“Hai, daijobou Ryu, don’t worry about me” I answered.
When we arrived at the hospital I waved at him before hurriedly walking to the hospital’s entrance. My heart seems to bleed whenever I think of him and the girl he was talking to. Maybe she was his ex-girlfriend and maybe they want each other back, it’s obvious because his expression lit up after talking to her. I opened the door to Chii’s room and the squirrel’s eyes brighten up when he saw me.
