Such Is The Life Of An Everyday Housewife

Hillary and I went to the grocery store last night. The shelves are usually severely depleted on the week end, but we went about 10pm or so. The shelves had been restocked and it was eerie. Hillary said it was "stepford wifeish." We were happy when we saw any imperfection. One aisle had a whole box of muffins on the floor. "Cleanup on aisle 5."
Today was the Taunton Christmas parade. Mark and I stood in the snow to watch the children march past. First we had to have some drama though cuz children crave drama. After getting up earlier to find the waterbottle and fall back in bed, i was woken about 9:15 by Nick and James playing video games and goofing back and forth. I thought to myself "they were supposed to be at school at 9am....." So I got up and they told me they didn't go to band "cuz it snowed", that went over like a lead balloon. After a lecture on commitment and seeing things through and a couple of muttered comments to the effect "i wasn't worried about me, I was worried about my instrument", they got in Mark's truck so he could drive all the way back to school to bring them.
When I went to pick them up after the parade, Amanda came home with us too, so it's been a noisy house this afternoon/evening. I retreated to the bedroom and cut fabric for crafts while I watched the sign language tapes that resemble a SNL skit. Who said my life was dull?
