Today at work we got a rental call from someone who showed up on the caller ID as "Shawn Spencer." As a huge Psych geek, I couldn't help but be excited about it, haha.
The Pilot gas station on the Jones Loop exit of I-75 has the BEST fountain drinks. This is because they have the option to get crushed ice, which is in reality just really tiny ice cubes, but they are FAR SUPERIOR to regular ice. Also, they have like every flavor of soda imaginable, including two of my favorites that are hard to find in fountain form: Diet Mountain Dew and Diet Dr. Pepper. They've also got different little flavors that you can add to your soda, like cherry and lime. I've never tried those and don't think I will, but having them as an option adds to the experience.
I took a twenty minute power nap on the couch in the office before I went to karate. I did it once last week too, and both times it was awesome. I think I might make this a regular part of my daily schedule when I have0 karate in the evening, even if I'm not sleepy. Just lying there relaxing in the dark would be nice too. Since I live too far away to drive home in between work and karate, I think this is a good alternative to break up my day a little and help me separate myself from the work part of it.
My original schedule for this week did not include me working tomorrow, but I'm swamped in the office so I'm going to. This sucks, as I was hoping to get some things done around the house tomorrow. Plus it's really nice to have a day off in the middle of the week. Part of the reason I decided to go in tomorrow instead of just working late tonight and early on Friday is that I skipped karate on Tuesday and I really feel like I need to make up the day, so I'd have to be down there anyway.
I think my cats are jealous of my computer. When I use it from my bed, they can't seem to stay away. I had to keep Mr. Meow from walking on it (he had a bad habit of doing that with my keyboard on my desk top too) and Pumpernickel tries to force her head between my hand and the keyboard. It's funny because I give them tons of attention, and any other time they'd be minding their own, but they just can not resist being up in my grill when I'm using a computer.
