Heavily encrypted note to Pansy, crumbles to dust upon being read

Mar 11, 2006 17:35

Don't bother using your Slytherin tactics of persuasion on me, Pansy. You don't have to tell me what I already know. I'm well aware no one leaves The Company except in a coffin, and my father isn't a fool. I also haven't forgotten that Father lost everything since the Head of The Company returned from his hiatus, and was left to rot in Azkaban for over a year with our reputation ruined and all his carefully built connections to the Ministry severed.

You might recall that I'm not a fool either, and my memory isn't short.

But just because I don't have high esteem for my father's boss doesn't mean I disregard His power, or that you should. And it doesn't mean I approve of you fraternizing with Mudbloods. I don't know what Muggle-loving propaganda that Ravenclaw of yours has filled your head with, but he's Muggleborn, and he's not one of us. And he never will be.

My mother had a sister who tried to run off and marry a Muggleborn, did you know? They both died.
