God damn it. I just sat down and voluntarily watched Mansfield Park. With Dad. It wasn't bad.

Ah well. At least it's not as bad as a couple of years ago when I made a point of borrowing Mum's Pride and Prejudice DVD's to see what all the fuss was about.

I need to get out more.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it, but one generally does not one thump ones chest and and gruffly proclaim "grarr! I are reading Northanger Abbey!"

I'm off to redeem myself and read a Jeremy Clarkson book.
