Who is to represent Ukraine this year?
To tell you the truth I would not be happy at all if that happens to be Verka Serdjuchka aka Andrij Danylko-a popular character on Ukrainian(and Russian?)scene. I don't think that he will be interesting to the ESC public. First,to my mind, the essence of his character cannot be easily undestood and taken by the foreign public, who has no much knowledge of Ukrainian mentality, traditions, etc...Second, they think, that his absurd image will correspond the mood of the ESC 2007 taking in consideration the Lordi winners... well, i have big doubts. Third, they hope that gay and transvestite community will like Verka... oh please!!! DON'T BE SILLY! may be yes, may be not, but he will not be original and unique in such an image there. Besides, according to my friend Marco B., the Danes have chosen their contestant already and it's a drag queen. So, it's not gonna work for Verka... I'd be happy if Vitaliy Kozlovskyj goes to Finnland or may be Vlasova...but first i want to see their performance of course, besides, I have not heared half of candidates, the full list is here:
