Wedding, Hawaii and other such nonsense

Well, there it was. My wedding day has come and gone and the only thing I get to plan for now are shows and my funeral. No, really, my attitude hasn't turned that pessimistic but it sounds goofy.

The day was awesome. I remember feeling like I was in a cocoon with Jason and the words of Rev. Kermit (yeah, Kermit!) were seeping in from far away as the waves of the ocean serenaded the moment. Seriously it was the best ceremony I've ever witnessed. Short and sweet, meaningful but not mushy as hell and no religion. It was, indeed, beautiful.

We limo'd to the beach, leaving on time, not taking the highway like I thought the drivers would do and arriving 15 minutes late. Thanks guys. That resulted in the photographer staying longer than alloted and $75 out of pocket but that was the worst that happened and I'm content with that! Ceremony and pictures ensued and everyone was taken to the New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel for the dinner. The reception room we booked online had only one picture available so I had not a clue what to expect, the folks at the hotel amazed me. It was a big rectangular table set for 18 people, all white linens and we had bought a "centerpiece" that was palm fronds arranged in two "star" patterns and voilet colored Dendrobium flowers scattered over the entire table. The room had green curtains draped above large windows that opened up entirely right onto the beach, no screens. We watched the sun go down as the meal commenced, the food was all amazing! The only wedding traditions we did were toasting and cutting one piece of cake that we did not shove in each other's faces. Around 9:30 we all hopped in cabs and made our way to downtown Waikiki to continue imbibing at The Yard House with family and Mamma Mia folk. Afterwards Jason and I stayed back at the Otani Hotel in an ocean side suite. One entire, huge wall of the room was glass with most of it being sliding doors that opened onto the lanai 6 floors up and right on the beach. Gorgeous. We played lazy for all of friday and most of saturday and then the party was over.

Here are the pics in low quality. It's the preview website we order from, lots to sort through.

And that's about it! I'm still in Hawaii for almost 2 more weeks. I was supposed to work selling merch but someone dropped  huge ball and I am not. Oh well, gives me some time to hang on LJ for once.
