The first month of intern year is over, and I think we did pretty well coping with Joe's schedule. Of course, the fact that I work from 12-7 is helpful at keeping me out of the house while still allowing me plenty of lounging time.
I've been following Lambeth a little bit. Honestly there's only so much I can read of, "This bishop says X, and this bishop says Y," before I get overwhelmed.
I bought a breadmaker off of Craigslist for $20. I was thinking about getting one but didn't want to pay full price in case I used it twice and then never again. There is currently a very beautiful wheat bread doughball being kneaded in my kitchen. Exciting! I'll probably also use it for making pizza crusts. I'm a little frightened by kneading, and there just isn't that much counter space in my kitchen to really spread out.
Joe and I went shopping on Sunday with our wedding gift certificates, and I got some kitchen tools that I needed and some other things at Target. Now I need to put together our microwave cart so I can free up some counter space, probably a task for tomorrow. I also bought a pair of jeans that fit me at Academy. They have Levi's that come in short, regular, and long, so I got a pair of short jeans that I can actually wear flats with. I think that's the first time I've been shopping since I lost weight. It's so nice to wear pants that fit me the way they are supposed to instead of being too long like the ones I inherited from my mom, which are fine with heels. I also bought a couple of pairs of shorts to get me through the rest of the summer.
