Today Research Methods was like a cloud raining on my bachelor's essay parade. Finally, I come up with a kick-ass topic, and then they go all anti-covert observation on me. Don't they know that's the only fun kind?! Well, anyway, no matter what I write about I can tell you right now that the IRB is going to be the bane of my existence.
My student ID is in Ohio, which seems very unfair since I have to be here, all in class and stuff. Liza called me about 10 minutes before I needed it to say she accidentally took it with her. I guess I should just be thankful she found it, since otherwise I'd be paying $10 for a new one. I'm also disappointed that it will come back without Eliza. I miss her.
My sister is coming this weekend to try to make me feel better about her getting married next May. I don't think it will work.
I've decided that every day I need to think of something I'm looking forward to. Today I'm looking forward to: getting married someday (yes, I did just say that, and yes, I will give you a second to pick your jaw up off the floor), finishing my A.A. paper, hearing from Earth Force about their fall internship, and being done with my junior year.
My Sociology of Religion professor has the worst senioritis I've ever seen. He's leaving when school gets out to go to seminary in Wisconsin, and today he described the rubric he came up with for our papers: "If it's 7 pages and turned in on time, you get full credit. I'm not looking at content or anything." Usually that would make me perform somersaults in my soul, but since I already put a good 7 hours into the research and writing of a draft, I was kind of annoyed. Once again, the universe confirms, procrastination could have payed off.
Coffee would be tasty right now. Kudu tonight, maybe.
