Happier Side Of Things

While at this point in my life I have plenty of uncertainties and doubt… and definitely some personal demons to wrestle with… there are some cool things going on for sure.

My business is going to be pretty much over with by the end of the month, and I am looking forward to the reduced stress. I’m sad it didn’t work out, but I will be glad to have things done.

I’ve got a lot of things on the table as far as work goes. It looks like I’ll be making more money at my cell phone job, and I actually have quite a few other job possibilities lined up. I have a contact within Comcast that could probably get me a job, Paul Celano’s dad wants to hire me to do all sorts of cool business things, and my dad might want to have me work for him. All these exciting things are on the horizon and will put me into a much better situation financially (because I’m not too good financially now)

I have a cool story from yesterday. After I got off work, I headed out to Leslie’s house to hang out with some people. I took the back way, and as I was cruising down Corlett I saw something in the road. Turns out… this “something” was a young golden lab puppy. I almost hit the thing… and as I drove by, he started chasing me! I went back and opened my car door up… and before I knew what was going on… the puppy was in my car… licking me like crazy! He was the cutest dog, and I knew that he would get hit if I left him in the road. I proceeded to park my car right on Corlett and turn my hazards on... figuring that people would see my car and slow down… and be able to avoid the dog.

I next started going around to houses… hoping to find the dog’s owner. After I went to a few houses… I noticed that someone else had stopped. They had seen my car and the dog. I ran over to see what was up, and I came face to face with a girl who was just as worried about the dog as I was. Turns out that she was headed back from dance class, and she saw the pooch running around just like I did. The two of us spent another 15 minutes or so driving around looking for the dog’s owner. We had no luck. Fran (the girl) figured she would take the dog home for the night. I asked her to give me a ring and let me know what she found out.

Something about Fran really got me thinking. I dunno… I’d like to get to know her better. She seemed like a really good, down-to-earth person… plus the fact that she spent so much time trying to help the dog really impresses me. I hope to see her again, and I hope that dog finds its owner. That is all… better get back to work.
