Belated 36 Week Update
This will be a quick one, since I'm so far behind. Given that as of last Friday I had only one more week of work, all non-work-related things have fallen by the wayside. I had a midwives appointment on Monday that went fine, bp was 110/70, Aatje's heartbeat was 132/minute, I'm up to 174 lbs. That's still only 22 pounds gained overall, so I can't be too unhappy. I'm measuring at 34cm, which Merilynne was fine with. Aatje is head down, but Merilynne had a hard time verifying this. Evidently I've been "blessed" with tight muscles, so feeling parts is much more difficult on me. I'm not sure how I managed to have decent stomach muscles, it's not like I ever exercise, but hopefully they'll help spring everything back into place after Aatje's born.
The week ended on a low note, with my Sebring dying on the way home from the funeral of Laurens' colleague. Since he's already posted about this, I'm not going to bother. I say "low note", but I suppose it was a blessing. As Abigail said, car shopping with a tiny baby wouldn't have been much fun, so the timing could have been worse. I'm just annoyed that we didn't buy a new car a few months ago. Oh well - and a new car is fun!
