OH GOD I FAIL

Film: They're dark and tough to watch, but good. Have you heard of either Trainspotting or Requiem for a Dream? (I warn you, the second may depress you..)
Book: Anything Stephenson. He's brilliant.
Band: Know Theater of Tragedy?

Rottentomatoes.com says of Requiem of a Dream: "The last half hour of the film is among the most harrowing of any film ever made."

I have been meaning to watch it for a while, but have never gotten my hands on a copy.

The way I look at it is like this.
I have watched sad movies, and they are all at about the level of at WORST someone punching you in the gut.

Requiem for a Dream is someone taking an aluminum bat to your head.

But, at the same time, it's an amazingly good movie. I've watched it twice, and I probably won't watch it again within the next year or two, but it's a good movie...
