Does it happen to you a lot too that you get an idea for a character to play, get all excited ... and then kinda lose your steam when ALL 8 CLEVER USERNAMES YOU MADE UP are taken/purged/deleted in all possible combinations?

Also, posting from the kitchen now because ... for some confusing reason, that's the only room where the laptop DOESN'T self-

Night before last I spent about an hour trying to come up with usernames for Selphie Tilmitt, Summoner Yuna and FFX-2 Yuna.

sending, sendings, summonings, summoning, faythful, faythfully, and faythed were all taken. :| So I gave up.

But I just stewed on it for a while, and then- sinfreeworld and tiny_bees are open so I might snag one of those for Yuna... And traincraze is open for Selphie. XD

What character were you needing a username for-?

Those are some sweet usernames! It can kinda leave you speechless how even the trickiest variations can be something somebody else already thought of. D: BUT DON'T CURSE IT NOW, GRAB THOSE FREE NAMES BEFORE SOMEBODY ELSE DOES.

I'm also not one of these people who can insert some placeholder like 'x' or '0' somewhere only to get a name. That just looks silly.

I wanted to make a journal for creepy Older!Near from the One Shot for fun, because I re-read that yesterday and noticed I've never seen him played. I came up with a series of lulzy names but all of them were taken, ironically none of them in relation to DN. XD

God, no, I can't do placeholder stuff either. I try with and without underscores, and maybe if there is a different spelling of something.. But. I could never do x, 0, or... IDK, stuff that doesn't fit the character. (Like, I almost used l33t for Matt once because it would it him, but auto_matt_ic with those spacings was free whereas automattic was taken, so I refrained. XD)

Like always I'm completely unfamiliar with that character, but that's a cute name. Go get it. XD Is it for Amat?

I'm even moar anal and I usually don't even do underscores. Except for some names that really look better with, or else it'd look too mushed together. And I always thought auto_matt_ic was brilliant for him, though I actually got that wordplay pretty late, honestly.

Ffff, no. Just for randomly playing. I'm at my character limit at Amat- someone wants me to app someone new too so I will have to increase my limit with the mods... Hopefully I'm able to otherwise... Sorry Ace. XD It's actually the name of her guns. The Tiny Bees. They're cool. x3 I only remembered it because.. I did a picture of a cosplayer of her a long while back, and we were talking about art portfolios, and that was one of the pictures in my portfolio. And I was like, "OH SNAP. TINY BEES."

Yeah, I've taken to using underscores more sparingly lately. Like, some things would look weird without them. but-not-a-rose looks better to me than butnotarose, no-name-gamer and nonamegamer are pretty much equal. But like, my newest ones.. plscomeagain > pls_come_again and justacityboy wouldn't have fit with underscores.

cisforcheap would work too. My only thing is that I would read it as "CIS for Cheap." XD

I like your Persona 4 usernames a lot. Yousuke's is so poetic and Yukiko's is just lulz. I put down some of my Near name ideas down there for Akane in case you want to look at them. And you're right, some names just look weird without underscores.

Idk, does CIS *mean* something in English? Oh, like Navy CIS? XD

I am. Ffff, but I've been playing with the ones I've made more often lately. Like, I made Yukiko and I'm playing her in SMT DR and Dear_Mun like crazy.

I love that line of Yukiko's so much... I'm so glad I thought of it. XD And Yosuke's is actually pretty lulz too.. Because it's a song. It makes most people who see it go "DAMNIT, NOW I CAN'T GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD."

And I've seen adult Near played before. One of my random and commless Mellos had some sort of romantic adventure with an adult Near at the dressingroom ages ago. The logs made me nosebleed until there wasn't a drop of blood left in my body ///

I always like your Near usernames. I'm stubborn, too! But when eljay says 'lol taken', there's not much I can do besides pumping my fist angrily. XD

Well, I REALLY wanted white_widow or whitewidow, since a) it's a criminal term (it's a drug), and b) that's pretty much what Near is to me at that point. Then I tried byuuun, but of course that one was gone, too. My next idea was neener_neener (which is the sound that kids make when they stick out their tongue) because he's such an asshole, but that one was taken as well. Now I'm thinking again.

Oh, really? That's so cool. If you can remember the journal, link me so I can stalk! And by the way, that icon up there is the prettiest icon of Older!Near ever. ♥

The Near was white0chocolate, but all his entries are friends only (my Mello has access to them because he's cool like that ♥)

I actually don't know what dear_mun is. Any reason for Death Note characters to be hated there?
Anyway, it doesn't sound like a good idea. Playing with people who hate certain DN charas isn't pretty, call it personal experience. I've had my character harassed by charas who were supposed to be mature and composed, just because the lame muns had personal issues against canon!Near *shoots them with killing sparkles*

Well ... dear_mun is a place where characters write messages to their muns. The idea itself is silly in my opinion, but most rpers use it to try out new characters, find games or find other people who play from their series. ^^

I have no idea, I just notice that the DN players never get replies. XD Maybe it's because people are still kinda sick of them. Plus, let's face it, lots of Deathnote players are bad.
