Where He´s At.
I want to ramble about my two Rp Mellos,
sigil_rp and
econtra_rpg. Mainly because NOBODY CAN KEEP ME FROM DOING THAT. XD Much has happened to the both of them, and I think some halftime ponderings can´t hurt. Plus, I´ve never done a post like this before. And I love my Rps. =D
Mello in Sigil:
I think Mello in Sigil is still Mello, but he has evolved a lot during the last months. Mello and Near, and Matt as well, have had the chance to explore lots of personal issues they never had the time for during their past lives. (And I don´t mean only the rampant sex. Though that was kickass too. XD) This is why Mello perceives Sigil as his home, and even though the curses are still a pain, he is somewhat fond and even protective of the place. He wants to make this into the home he never had. This comes from the fact that, for the first time in his life, he is actually happy. He fell in love for the first time, he has fought with and accepted the fact that he belongs with Near, he has real friends that he actually cares about. He´s had the chance to reunite with both Matt and L. He is afraid of being torn out of this dream. He has fully embraced the thought that Sigil is his, and being the power-obsessed person he is, he´ll strive to become an influencial person in Sigil and build a society there. Meaning conquering the forest, and keeping potential hazards like Light Yagami, Tyki and B in line. The main challenge for this Mello, I think, is to keep moving and evolving so that things don´t turn boring. But with a lover like Near, friends like Matt, Halle and L, and possible adversaries like Light, B and Tyki, I´m not too worried.
Mello in Econtra:
Hurrah. 8D After weeks of wonky characterization (that hopefully nobody noticed but me XD), I FINALLY have an idea about who he is. Being in scenes with both Nears, both Matts and the other Mello has helped a lot, even though I was really insecure about it at first. I think Econtra Mello is colder and less caring than Sigil Mello is. But he still perceives both Matts and his double as family that needs to be protected. Near too, to a certain extent, though both Nears displaying interest in his well-being throws him off track and confuses him, but also intrigues him. He also feel more passionate about L than Sigil Mello. He´s more brash and less smooth that Sigil Mello is. Being a captive, a prisoner is like a nightmare come true for him, his worst fear, so he is always tense. I´ve always imagined this to be the worst for Mello ...losing control of his own life, being a tool, after all he has done to live his own way. So yes, he will not accept that fate and continue to stir shit wherever he can. He´ll also continue to find ways to kill or otherwise terrorize Econtra. His deepest desire is to kill Shukaku, because in Mello´s eyes he has tainted not only L, but Near and even the female Matt in a way as well and shouldn´t live, but he is aware that he has no chance and it eats at him. Econtra Mello is also sharp, but emotionally clumsy and clueless, because I imagine him having spent most of his life with underworld figures and henchmen, where emotional warmth is not available. He´d also be extremely wary to enter any kind of romantic relationship in Econtra, since all the displays he has seen or heard of were more or less terrifying. Which doesn´t mean he isn´t curious. Oh, and he´s sexually inexperienced and a virgin, too. :P Feel free to laugh at him for it.
Plus,
tenshiamanda has inspired me to make an Enneagram Test for Mello (that´s a theory about personality types). I did one for both since they´re based off each other, and apparently Mello is an 8: Leader, Protecor, and Challenger. XD Which I believe is completely spot on because well, I took the test. LOL.
