I know it's unclassy to brag, but...
...fuck that, I'm doing it. I admit, one of the reasons to make this post was to stare at the widget. XD
However, keep in mind that I'm out of a job, the renovation is over and my boyfriend's out of reach, so I pretty much work under perfect conditions. ^^*
The crazy part, though? It's not crap at all. I love. Every. Single. Line. I mean, sure, it needs a lot of work and some scenes are goofy as hell and whatnot, but overall? I love my novel. It's awesome. I know exactly where I want the story to go. I love all my characters, even the ones I hate. I look forward to every new scene I start. It's funny and dark and people are going to fucking die and it's glorious. After three years of writing the most tantalizingly awful crap the world has ever known under Nano (okay to be fair, last year's wasn't horrible), finally this.
I have a confession, though: I totally cheated. I didn't count the words, but I wrote the first chapter in October, since I conveniently forgot that it was against the rules. (Pimpage: you can read it here. It's in English.) So technically, I can't win Nano even if I make the 50K. And even though I don't sound like it at all, I do feel a little bad about it. I even considered dropping out. But now? No way.
And because the lovely keksdiebin just came up with it, here's a little Nano Meme that you can steal if you like.
