That's right, I've decided to make these Thursday simspams a thing. So expect me to flunk out of it very soon. XD Not much has happened lately and I didn't get that much play time, so it's mainly birthdays. But the alien children turned out really cute, so take a look! :)
We open with some radioactive toddler cuddling! Tbh, I'm not big into Sims toddlers (they are basically like frustrating mini-games that scream and poop), but these two have kinda won me over. Still haven't figured out how to take good pictures on floor level to produce decent snapshots of them, though.
If Vork hadn't already been my favourite, he'd be by now because he does adorable things like autonomously cuddling the dog!
Okay, has there ever been a Sims toddler that does not have this weird dislocated jaw glitch? Because I honestly never had one.
However, despite my toddler aversion, I've decided to let Stella and Albee have some more kids since Albee is a Family Sim and I'm a masochist.
I have paired off so many same-sex couples in my game that I honestly forgot the "try for baby"-interaction even exists. XD I was seriously suprised to see it for a second.
It's more twins, two girls this time.

For the record, I'm not doing these baby birthdays because they're fun, I'm doing them because they speed up the aging process.

While this was going on, Bela tried, and failed, to cook lobster for the family. Yeah, I'd be humiliated too. Your husband owns that shit!
I finally decided to let Fenix and Bela age naturally (no more elixir for you!), which means elderhood is approaching. I will miss their younger selves, but ... well, I wanted them to have a full Sim life, and that includes growing old. So I sent them on a date on their last night as adults! And by "sent", of course I mean "to their bedroom", because DNW lagging community lots for this endeavor.
*Sniff* I'll miss them being like this. On the other hand, I should probably stop treating elderhood as some bottomless pit of despair and awaiting death. Not a good move psychologically, in general. XD
As it happened, Bela and Fenix grow old on the same day Vork and Codex grow into kids! So much transition suspense!
Fenix went first. And tbh the second I saw him, I stopped feeling wistful about them growing old. He's a snazzy elder. I like it!
Everyone was going nuts over Vork growing up. Don't think I neglected Codex, though, I tried to get her to the cake at the same time, but due to a timing SNAFU, she didn't make it.
Holy shitsnacks, Vork. You are bringing it.
Aaand then the game crashed so I did it all over again. XD
You know I'm totally in the bag for Vork, but Codex isn't too shabs, either.
Elder!Bela. Still neat. XD I like how he turned out, too. He looks ...kinder with age? Anyway, I am happy to report that he and Fenix are still all over each other, age be damned. They are constantly following each other around the house blowing hearts and congratulating each other for random shit.
Vork's first autonomous interaction is petting that brick that his father made in college. He's a lot like his dad: shy, earnest, and very very nice. In other words: he's a total wuss.
To no-one's surprise, Clara and Tink grew up too, and also to no-one's surprise, I didn't take many pictures of it. :D
Tonight, In A Lot Full Of Neat Sims: Kids lining up to clean their own birthday plates!
Anyway, everyone's a kid now, so time for a little School Bus Roll Call:

I'm getting tired of "X brought home a friend from school/work". The family has a gazillion friends. We don't need any more. GTFO.

By that point, the school bus driver was hitting the horn like a maniac, and immediately drove off when she got out. XD And why, yes, I was too lazy to invite the headmaster a second time!
Oh, and here's Vork, since I didn't catch him getting off the bus. ♥

Stella is a Knowledge Sim and she's not very maternal, so this is actually a very accurate depiction of her relationship with the kids:

Albee, on the other hand, is still a dork.

Albee seems to be pondering whether or not it's awesome to let his kids play Gears Of War all day. He is the Education Minister, after all.
With the family growing friggin' huge (8 Sims is pretty much like armageddon for me), I moved them into a bigger house, which gave everyone an opportunity to act all adorable.
I moved them into hidden_kitten's Hendershot legacy house, by the way. I love that house. It's spacious, not laggy and, which is very important for me, has only one floor. Since I hate building and am generally fail at it, this lot has saved me from flying into a murderous rage many times. ♥
I hadn't seen Stella, Vork and Clara for a while, when I looked into the backyard and saw them all chilling in the new pool. /coolstorybro
Vork and Codex are carrying on with the grand family tradition of being eerily close with their twin. But since I removed that "close family romance" hack that I had for some reason, they will probably be less creepy about it.
Look, they're even doing that "growing up in synch" thing! And, in case you were wondering if Vork's good looks translated well into his teen years:

The first thing Codex does is hit the bar. She also turned out really pretty, even though she looks inexplicably stuck up.

You know who else thinks that? Girls. They are swarming the lot, initiating all kinds of interactions that I didn't even know you could inititiate autonomously. This one was holding hands with him
and then this one walked up and offered a backrub. I think his relationship with both is 20/20 or something. ôO
I'd love to send Vork out on some dates, but so far he hasn't rolled a single romantic Want. He's not interested in dating, all he cares about is ~*~his music~*~, since he wants to become a Rock God. (He's Popularity. With 1 outgoing point. So clearly that's gonna go great.)
