Sorry for the spam, folks. I don't expect everyone to be as fascinated with my vacation snapshots as I am. XD But being in the US is truly a special event for me, hence I'm relentlessly taking pictures of it.
WASHINGTON INTERMISSION!
My aunt's folks live in Maryland, so we made a road trip to Washington, which is nearby. I was really excited to visit the US capital! Of course I only saw the fancypants areas of Washington, but I thought the city had a very refined and historical atmosphere, I really liked it. The architecture is gorgeous. And since we took a bus tour, I saw a lot more of Washington than I though possible in one day. Success! We took off in New York at 5 am and arrived back late at night at 1 am, it was insane, but worth it.
The Capitol! In shitty weather! This is where we started our round trip. It's such an impressive structure.
Ford's Theatre, where Abraham Lincoln was assassinated.
Where Abraham Lincoln presumably ate his waffles.
Lovely gate leading into Chinatown.
FBI Headquarters! I thought this was cool.
Lincoln Memorial from a distance. It really has a nice, quiet, contemplative quality to it.
I also took a frontal picture of him, but I really like this one.
The Reflecting Pool was a no-show because lol wrong season, but you can see the Washington Monument disappearing into the mist!
The Union Square Station was breathtaking, but like many landmarks here and in New York, a bitch to photograph on account of being so freaking huge.
Looks like a romcom setup. WHO WILL HE CHOOSE?
Finally, the White House! And as you can see, the President was in, since the flag is up!
If you squint, you can see Michelle Obama's kitchen garden in the background.
LOL PROBABLY NOT
I really really adored the architecture. This is an old hotel called The Willard, I don't know anything about it, but I love how it looks.
Too bad I didn't have more time, or I would've visited one of the Smithsonians! I have to return on my next trip to the US and do an extensive tour of the museums!
