Curse and blessing of Irish Weather
It's not been raining for days now and since this was the first dry weekend this year people used the day going somewhere instead of going shopping. Pointless to say that it gets quite boring at the check-out these days.
Had a customer this Saturday, she made some random remark about the weather, so I told her, without the rain we wouldn't appreciate the sun...
Turned out, she just moved over from Australia, her kids ('round 6 to 8 years of age) have never seen the rain before. They were waring their Wellies and for them it was all new and exiting.
We had a nice chat, talking about random things; showing her, how certain things work in Ireland (Hey, I am the immigrant; I should be taught instead of teaching others)... Introducing her to the system of laying a deposit down for the shopping trolley ;-)
I'll better go and enjoy the rest of the day.
The forecast said it'll rain from tomorrow on. Again.
