so this is my view on these protest
cept a freind of a friend put it just right, and i agree with wat they say:
For all the walkers.. I'm proud of you guys for standing up for what you believe... BUTTT.. a few questions..
Why were you guys waving around Mexican flags? I thought you wanted to stay in America? Why didn't you have American flags? If you have so much Mexican pride.. then would going back to Mexico really be so bad?
and whats up with all the graffitti saying "mexico"!
Another thing.. whats up with the marching in the freeways..? As if traffic in LA isn't bad as it is..
AND ANOTHER THING.. half of you people who walked out.. don't even know what the bill really was about. You just heard that someone was against Mexican immigrants and poof you get pissed off.
No offense to those who really felt strongly about the bill and really wanted to make a difference. I just feel that most of them wanted an excuse to walk out of class.. and look silly. Jumping up in front of the news cameras and going "WOOOO" really showed maturity!instead of making us hispanics look better you guys that marched are making us look worse !
:) And of course, ditching class and making the schools lose money TOTALLY makes congress feel that we really care about our education. What better way to show that immigrants want to stay in America for a good education then ditching class and rioting?
and why is it people are just making it seem like its only against mexicans when in reality its about all immigrants but u dont see asians or african americans walking around the streets
