Another lovely weekend
The weekend (since I do not include Friday in this lovely description, but do not really want to talk about it) started with breakfast out and then a trip to the Silver Kingdom Ren Festival with my friend "Rose" who I used to work at KRF with, and my fiend Nicki, her ex husband and their two kids. The faire was a lot of fun. It was especially great getting to see some familiar and dearly missed faces from KRF and to get a chance to congratulate
tragic_culture and xephz in person. I didn't find any new costuming for Klee as I was hoping, but it was still great. Little Cheyanne and Brayden had a lot of fun at their first faire and were two of the cutest things there.
After the faire Sasha and Grum came over for the night. Since I can't have alcohol right now Sasha was wonderful and made us some really good, healthy smoothies. We had a campfire out back with hotdogs and s'mores for dinner.
Today consisted of a d&d game with gianajho , grumblykins , lawbard ,
rowan_syngwyn and vyseryn . Grum ran for us and it was great. Very interesting story so far, a few crazy moves from a few particular characters and a truly evil rope (no less than four of the five characters fell 30 feet while trying to climb down it) made for a great session. I can't wait to play again. Lunch was had at Howard's, an out-door resturant that I love. I keep introducing new people to it, got three new ones today!
Only problem I'm finding with having so many fun weekends is that every Sunday night I have this 'post-holiday letdown' kind of feeling. I wish I could just jump from weekend to weekend, that's when my real life happens!
