one minute youre walking in heels dancing the night away and the next, you cant even stand up without asking for help........
I finish my first exam of the semester. I get up. My knees buckle and my back fails me. I make it to the desk and back to my seat but it hurts. Worse than what happened the Friday before. My initial thought was Oh shit not again. I try to walk it off by going to the bathroom but it wasnt working. I stuck my head back into the class and told the birthday girl (who we were supposed to pie that day) to get my stuff and help me back into the car. I start to cry and the pain becomes unbearable.
I managed to make it home, making phone calls and texts along the way to make sure the plan to pie Ciara was still a go. I get inside, I pop 3 Advils and I lie down. This sucks. I know for sure my mother will not let me go to Albany to see Blue Man. We were all supposed to go out to eat for Ciara's bday but instead, Pat, Ciara and Cora came to my house with Portuguese ribs, chicken, and rice.
I pretty much stayed in bed all of Thursday taking in 600 of Advil every 6 hours.
Doctor on Friday and more bed rest.
MRI on Saturday and more bed rest. I upgraded to Motrin.
Bed rest again Sunday.
I got Jewel to get a script for Tylenol 3 + Codeine from Doc from me. Actual relief. I couldnt believe how good it felt. MRI results showed not one, not two, but three large herniated discs between L3-L4, L4-L5, L5-S1. Nice.
Went to the neurologist today. FINALLY a doctor that listened to me. Gave me LYRICA which is what I have been asking for for so long. My friends came over to keep me company and bake a couple batches of cupcakes as well. We ordered Domino's and asked for Fudgems. Went to see Employee of the Month because today was the first time in 6 days I could actually sit on a chair and not die of pain.
Now I should be working on my Care Plan but this Med is making me damn sleepy. *sigh*
God help me if something else stops me from going to see my Blue Man friends and Blue Man. 3rd times a charm right?
