And the Letter of the Day is... "R"
Meme from americanfairy

1. Comment with "DON'T SAY GOOD-BYE!"
2. I will give a letter.
3. Post the names of five fictional characters and your thoughts on each.

1. Rick Castle -- who's a sexy writer! Putting the awesomeness of Nathan Fillion aside, you should watch Rick Castle for the finest TV example of fatherhood. In an era where other TV dads are bumbling idiots, Castle is smart (mystery writer and helping the police solve real crimes!) and will drop everything when his daughter needs him. But will play the heavy when he needs to, like insisting on tattling on Alexis' friend who got wasted after he got the girls away from the party with the spiked drinks.

2. Raphael -- is not my favorite Mutant Ninja Turtle, but I understand his insecurities and his masking it with surly anger. But he is fun to write.

3. Riteno -- a complication character for Stellar Gift of Death. He's the source of the current trouble in Chapter Fifteen, I just can't seem to get the chapter to get to the good stuff yet. *Sigh*

4. Mary Russell -- Sherlock Holmes' partner and wife in Laurie R. King's ten-book series (book 11 will be out later this year and there is one sort-of crossover with her other series). I am a nut about all things Holmes, and I have not regretted getting hooked on this series. Holmes and Russell call each other by their last names so much, it looks odd when other characters use their first names.

5. Rory Pond (come on, we all know that's really how it works) -- Let's face it, the role of boyfriend of a companion in the New Who could only go up. (Though I still feel gyped we never SEE Mickey Smith woo and win Martha Jones.) But Rory has been awesome since he first stepped into the TARDIS, and Amy is damn lucky to have a man this true by her side in their adventures through time and space.

I intended to answer this with characters I created. Apparently, I'm not a fan of R names.
