Last night Matt (R.) and I were celebrating his birthday all by our little lonesomes, Ithaca having become the studentless ghost-town it is, when i got a call from Chuck. Chuck was wondering if i would be available to help teach a Go Camp with Feng Yun on the 26th. It's a kids camp, and they apparently need someone to teach one of the groups of kids.
Teach? Me??? With Feng Yun?
Who's Feng Yun, you might ask... Feng Yun is a 9-dan pro from China. She's won the Woman's World Championsip once, among some other titles. She's started the first go school in the U.S. She is possibly the top player in the nation.
Unbelievable. Anyway, i worked out the arrangements, and i'll officially be teaching GO the day after christmas. I feel like a fanboy here; i have her phone #! I called her & she talked to me! *SQUEEE* etc. etc. etc.
Right, now to pack up & head home for xmas break.
