For all my non-Austin friends... it actually "snowed" here! Can you believe it? For the many of you who live in... well... cold places... here are some pictures to amuse you!
here is outside of my apartment window. The rain that came down the drainpipe formed icesciles. People wandered around staring at the sky in disbelief. People bundled up their kids (this was a snow day... school closed) and pointed at the ground. See that white stuff kids! That's Snow! Kids: "OooOOoOoo snow sure is COLD!" These kids were at least 10 years old. Hahaha!
Here were two of my favorite pictures I took at the complex pool.
See... Icesicles! On the poolside tables!
Snow! On the Pool Chairs.
And my favorite! It's a "snowman." As much of one as is allowed for the adventurous in an uneven ... oh... 1/8th of an inch of snow (or so) that mostly melts when it hits any paved ground... It's balancing on my neighbor's balcony rail.
ain't it adorable!
Work is also officially closed until tomorrow at noon. That's right folks... I don't have to go to work because of THIS SNOW!!! Yes... it did continue to snow for about an hour after I took these pictures... but it really only got slightly more snow-licious.
(for my Austin friends... this is mostly to make my friends in IL, PA, and CO laugh at us).
