I hope to god he's right. Because once freedom is voted out, it's very difficult to get it back. No matter who is in office.

I already voted, so I'm wondering if the "Do you want freedom (circle one)" question was maybe on the back of the ballot? I certainly think I'd remember voting to get rid of freedom...

Every time you cede additional power to the central government, you chip away a bit of your freedom.

I didn't vote for anyone with a socialist agenda. Can you be so certain?

Well stated. Many people that believe in sharing the wealth don't realize this is a socialist agenda that requires one to give everything to the govt. before the wealth is "shared." And how it is shared is completely at the govt's discression.

We have always been and will always be somewhere between those two extremes. Socialism -- not communism! -- has as many virtues and as many flaws as Capitalism -- not objectivism! -- does, which is why a balanced approach is the ideal approach ( ... )
