Jack The Ripper?

Apr 30, 2005 06:25

In my short but fulfilling life I have come across many a mystery, but none so scary and unsettling as that of Jack the Ripper. People don't seem to realize that even though they have suspects up the wazoo they still, after 117 years, can not figure it out. I mean until about twenty minutes ago I had no idea that Lewis Carroll, of 'Alice In Wonderland' fame, was a suspect.

Now that I have said this I have a mission for all of you. It will be unpleasent and some of you might find it to scary, but it has to be done. I want you all to help me solve the case of Jack the Ripper.

If you wish to not help, at least do me a favor and take a look at the case for me by going to http://www.casebook.org/ and reading the introduction. I will attempt to solve this case, and I have the faith that something will come of this.

The first step is throwing out all the theories, and myths and focusing on the cold hard facts. We need known suspects, people who they really had an itch in their pants about. Then we need to review all the victims, study what happened and how (if at all) they were related. Fourth step is finding connections within all the myths and theories to look for something really solid. After we've done all that we narrow it to only the leads with the most connections inside all the theories and myths.

I have faith in everyone, and myself, that this can and will be done. So, help me and help the world, and lets solve the case of Jack the Ripper.
