Today I went to visit Miss Taki for a cup of tea. She invited me a while ago, but I haven't been in a position where I could accept the invitation until now. We talked about a few things and she proved you can get nothing past her. She asked me about my cat, and I told her I was waiting for Rody to get better to go looking for one.
We discovered that I really am bad at giving things names. Miss Taki tried her hardest to help me get better, but apparently it was not to be - she came away with several of her stuffed toys being named the most foolish names imaginable Twigsums the Bear and Drip the Turtle to name but a few. She suggested I let someone else - she recommends Rody - name my cat when I get it. I rather agree with the idea.
Of course, Miss Taki managed to pry some gossip from me which I've no doubt she'll be sharing with everyone soon enough. The woman really is a master of her own art *smiles*
After I left Miss Taki's I went to meet Jowy out on the grounds, because he promised to show me how to use a sword. The lesson was rather humorous to begin with because Jowy tricked me into thinking I had to test the weight of the sword by holding it out in front of me for three hours, which in turn led to my chasing him around in an attempt to catch him and throw him in the lake. I just ended up cutting my hand on his sword, and Jowy managed to wriggle his way out of being thrown in.
The actual lesson went a lot better than I had expected it to - apparently I did very well. Jowy was a lot more patient and less vindictive than my Highland tutor so my guess is that that helped a lot. I'm really looking forward to our next lesson. I'm taking my lessons seriously hough, so I think I might invest in a sword of my own.
All in all the day was esentially perfect, until Jowy and to get the strawberries heowed me only to discover they'd been stolen. It was very upsetting ;_;
