Puppy-cuddle therapy...

I've come to the conclusion that dog cuddles are among some of the most potent therapy out there. =)

Aside from Wendy & Greg, I have some other family in Calgary - a cousin and his wife and family. Well, this cousin and his wife along with his parents went out of town for the holidays, so had missed their Christmas dinner. They had it tonight, and invited Greg and I to join them. The meal was truly wonderful - a beautiful turkey, home-made stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy - the works! Yum yum yum [insert gobbly noises here]. Happy tummy indeed.

But over and above the meal, my cousin has one of the most nifty dogs out there. She is a boxer and her name is Jaz - short for Jasmine. She has such an expressively sad-looking face, with big bloodshot eyes, that you just can't help but cuddle her. And she loves it. The last couple of days have been a bit rough with Wendy going back in hospital, but the Jaz cuddles I got tonight made me feel so much better. You can't help but smile with a happy dog cuddled up with you. I'm quite certain that Jaz isn't a puppy, but is actually a small human in a funny looking body.

And seeing my aunt and uncle as well was a real treat. I haven't seen them in much too long, and catching up with them was indeed special. It reminds me of how lucky I am to be a part of such a family.
