Things that work:
- Substitute Tartar Sauce instead of salad dressing
- Spam instead of bacon
- Chicken nuggets if you want quick chicken parmagian
- Substitute yogurt when you are out of milk in the fridge

Substitutions that don't work:
- Adding beef jerky to an omelette

Objective: Eating your meal without going back to the store.
Not the objective: Any kind of nutrition or weight loss or anything.
