Klaine Wedding Mini-Bang Guidelines & Sign Ups!
SIGNUPS NOW CLOSED
GUIDELINES:
1. Sign-ups will be open until Wednesday, April 10th.
2. Assignments will be sent out on Friday, April 12th. Keep who you’re writing for a secret! That makes the big reveal more fun.
3. All prompts should have a Kurt/Blaine wedding-related aspect. It doesn’t have to be the ceremony itself: you can include general marriage talk, engagement proposals, wedding planning, breaking the news to family, gift registry, bachelor parties, honeymoons, celebrating an anniversary, whatever you like. Be creative!
4. For your story requirements, definitely feel free to give a premise (for example: “Hangover AU where Cooper loses Blaine during the bachelor party”), but try not to get TOO specific since that can limit whoever gets your prompt!
5. For restrictions on what you won’t write, don’t worry too much about listing potentially triggering subjects - given the lighthearted nature of the theme, I doubt there will be too many prompts of that kind. Any prompts with remotely triggering requirements I will be very careful to match up with people who are comfortable writing those topics. If you are uncomfortable or uninterested in writing smut, please list that since some prompts may have smutty requirements.
6. The fic you write should have a minimum of 1,000 words. If it’s a little shy of that word count that’s fine, no one’s going to be policing it, but that’s what you should aim for. And definitely feel free to go over that length!
7. The deadline for fics will be Saturday, May 11th (the weekend after the Glee season four finale!). You can post the fic independently wherever you like (on your tumblr, livejournal, AO3, etc). That morning I will make a post on this comm for you to post a link to your fic, and I’ll make a master post both here and on the ficathon tumblr (it’ll have links to all the fics and who wrote for who), along with individual posts on the tumblr for each fic throughout the weekend in the order received. If for some reason you have nowhere to host your fic, we can have it posted here. Please make sure if you are posting it on your tumblr that your layout allows for readability! Tiny fonts and clashing backgrounds can be hard to take. I highly recommend AO3 if you have an account there.
8. If you need to drop out for any reason after assignments go out, please let me know ASAP so I can try to get a backup. If you think you can fill in as a last minute backup, please say so when you sign up! I want to make sure everyone gets their prompts filled!
