Dusting it off
So I've made some sweeping changes in my life. One of them being I think I should get my thoughts down more.
So I'm going to restart this...I Hope (never been good about keeping these things)
So here we go, I guess.
Today saw a lot of changes for me. I decided to re-take control of my life. For too long have I sat and idly watched as my life floated by on the river of the Tao. No longer, I have reached a point where that is unacceptable to me anymore.
First up, I need focus. I need something to ground me to this etheral plane. So I did research, grabbed a good friend of mine and found a dojo to start training in. I figure I have the spiritual side of my believes pretty well in hand. I would like to incorporate the physical into it. So Wed is the start of my training in Wah Lum Kung Fu. More to come on that later.
Work, is a difficulty as always. Have a new General Manager, which is cool. But it puts me back to square one with the whole promotion thing. The good thing is Rich is on my side, is the one that interviewed me almost a year ago and is really pushing me forward. Hopefully the promotion wont be too far off.
School is over as you well know...but I never thought it is. My next paycheck will find me in Barnes and Noble seeking a GRE test prep book. To be shortly followed by a trip to Alamosa to retrieve some of my writing for classes. I will be studying and applying at Grad Schools this summer. I know what I wish to study (Theatre History with a emphasis on Greek theatre and Architecture for any who care...which means I need to learn Greek...lets hope Rosetta Stone is as good as they say) and I am going to pursue it as far as I can. My Target schools: CU Boulder and University of Delaware. If I decide to go the performance route (which I might) then I will enlist the help of a friend of mine and train up for University of South Carolina.
Aside from that, not much going on in the personal life. Compulsory bought a nook from Barnes and Noble and it rarely leaves my side...love the little thing. Eagerly awaiting March 9th and the release of Final Fantasy 13. Community Service is going well...only 30 more hours to go (ugh)
