Makimachi Misao Cosplay (Rurouni Kenshin Film Version) + Cosmania 2013 and 2014 Links and Photos
Last Cosmania 2014, I finally got to cosplay my favorite female character, Misao. I picked her house clothes from the live action movie because I find the colors and the realism factor attractive. I started working on it before the movies - Kyoto Inferno and The Legend Ends - were shown in cinemas, so it is not 100% accurate. I still consider it a work-in-progess, actually, and I plan to improve it in the future; But for now, I'm happy with the way it turned out. Not to mention, it's more fun and fulfilling to walk around at an event when you're cosplaying a character that you truly love!

The costume made its debut at Cosmania 2014, Day 2. I attended the event with my friends and Jean, who's in her Seta Soujiro costume. At long last, we're finally cosplaying characters from the same show! :))

This reminds me, I never got around to making a blog post about last year's Cosmania 2013 experience. It was my cosplay comeback, so it was a note-worthy event for me, but somehow time slipped and the photos never made it to my blog. (nn;) Interested people can check out my Facebook account, though. I set my cosplay photos to public so fellow otakus and cosplayers that I've met can view it. I was dressed as Saitou Hajime from Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan, and the highlight of the event was my meet-and-greet photos with the well-known and well-loved cosplayer named Reika. (n_n) The rest of our Cosmania 2014 photos can be found there, as well.
