The Wolfram Project

After reading the earlier post about ideas to get things moving a bit in this comm, I got to thinking. I've long had my own personal "Wolfram Project", in which the goal was to pair Wolfram up with everyone (some of those pairings are romantic, and others have been friendship/brotherly). It's been a fun thing to work on when I'm bored, or when I get a ridiculous idea, or when I'm in a rut on some of my main fics. So why not have one where we all can participate?

However, if we're going to do this, we will have to tweak a few things. I was thinking of having two different versions of the project - one where the goal is to pair up Wolfram with various people, and another where the goal is to write (or draw, etc.) Wolfram involved with different themes/subjects. Also, for those who don't write and prefer to draw or make graphics (like icons), you all could participate as well. So, let's use this post to brainstorm!

For starters, we would need to decide on the amount of works for each project. I think 20 - 25 is reasonable, but what do you all think? I wouldn't want to go too much higher. I also wouldn't want this to be a timed thing, just something that we all can post our finished work on each time we complete a pairing/theme - on our own personal timeline. Maybe someone with HTML skills could build a basic table for the project?

Also, we would need to discuss what themes/people to use for the project. For example, the people one might involve writing/drawing/iconing Wolfram with Yuuri, Gwendal, Conrad, etc. - while the theme/subject one might involve prompts like Heat, Cookies, Wood, Evil or things like that. Or, maybe people can choose theirs to have one theme for all their works - like an Wolfram in Alternative Universe theme, or a Wolfram Sports theme, or a Musician Wolfram theme, etc. Or, maybe each person could choose a theme out of a list of them (that we would brainstorm on), and write based on that. The best part of this would be that it can be any genre - from romance, to gen, to mystery and so forth.

In short, let's use this post to:

1) Decide whether or not we want to do something like this. If enough people are interested, we'll go for it.

2) Decide the amount of fic/fanarts/icon/graphics for the project(s)

3) Decide what characters will be involved in Project A (Wolfram + Other Character(s)), and what themes will be involved in Project B (Wolfram + Prompt/Theme)

4) Decide whether or not to include a Project C (which would have people pick their own theme from a list of them, and own characters to involve for each work)

5) Have fun!
