Episode 70: The Forgotten Race
Kyou Kara Maou Episode 70: The Forgotten Race

The Recap: Shinou releases a burst of darkness from his hands, splitting up the BIG EVIL BOSS' power into four boxes, simultaneously turning a part of four of his loyal vassal's body into a key for releasing the BIG EVIL BOSS' power.
How nice of him.
Meanwhile, back on Earth, Shori becomes enraptured by a large vacuum in the middle of the lake, disregarding the fact the lake is light up like crazy! Poor Jennifer. She loses another son to Shin Makoku.
Once in Shin Makoku, Shori wrecks havoc and recruits Conrart into helping him disrupt the ceremony to reseal the boxes. Inside the chamber it looks as though Ulrike is igniting her own private super nova. Wouldn’t it be great to have that as your disco ball at parties? :D

With the full moon once more high in the sky (You know, it'd be nice to have, say, a half moon for once. It seems like people can only do thing when there's a ton of light out! They need to improve on their night vision or else get Yuuri to hand out flashlights to everyone as a party favor sometime. I'm sure he wouldn't mind…).
Back to the story at hand, it's another night of the full moon and strangely cloaked people are treading a slow methodical way through the forest and disappearing to their deaths into the lake.
This does not bode well, especially when lightening splits the sky back at the demon pledge castle.
"Do you desire power?"
AN: My, oh my Wolfram! But what big eyes you have! And I do think if you're going to hit on Shori you could come up with a better pick up line than that. We know you have a big one, but it's not that big!
"In your current state, there is no way that you can protect Yuri."
AN: Heh. Is that because you think Shori is going to jump on Yuri? *gives Shori a lewd look*
"Your power lies dormant."
AN: Oh? It is? I'm sure you, uh, have a cure for that. Somewhere. Maybe, if Shori's look on his face is anything to go by. :D
"I will awaken it for you."
AN: Buwahaha! Go Wolfram!
AN: I think Shori likes the handjob idea.
But alas, it's not to be yet. The horse made to much of a ruckus. Probably because Undine is on it's back and not doing very well at all.
While things are poised on the edge of their seats in Shin Makoku, Jennifer is still in Switzerland washing dishes in the tub.
Bob does not allow "anything reminiscent of home life in here."
I wonder why…and with how much he times he spends with only Sharon and Rodriquez in Switzerland, you'd think he'd want at least a place to wash his clothing. O.o
But that doesn't matter much. A heated debate over the taste of Shin Makoku's curry ensues. Rodriquez thinks it would be like the curry one gets in curry soba.
The discussion is short-lived when Jennifer drops a plate. And then she gives a headbutt to Rodriquez's nose! One should never debate with Jennifer XD
To bad Bob doesn't allow anything resembling home life because Jose really could have used some tissues for his bloody nose.
Undine doesn't seem to be doing half so well as she should. She's sweating and appears exhausted, but at least Gunter is taking good care of her. ♥ Concerned, he decides to call Gisella and motions to leave.
Murata takes this moment to join Gunter because he needs to talk to Ulrike, and Conrart and Gwendal follow for nefarious reason?.
Oh noes! Conrart is scared of a puddle. What is this world coming to? *clings to Conrart in the hopes of making it better*
Undine wakes up suddenly and stumbles out of bed, nearly fainting. Mustering her energy, she pushes Shori away and says she must go, "Otherwise everyone…"
Ulrike seems to agree since she tells Gwendal and Murata that they should bring Undine to her as soon as Ulrike wakes up.
But it would seem the fountain has other plans. It attacks Gwendal out of no where, spewing forth strange looking men with an eye as big as their face. When Yuuri, et al appear on the scene, the scary men disappear back into the fountain and Undine's command.
Gathered around the invalid, Undine tells her story.
Undine has an elder twin sister named Seraphine. Both were born with mysterious powers and everyone spoke of how one of them would become the next Genshi Miko. Seraphine loved Shin Makoku and burned with idealism but was discarded in favor of Undine because Undine had an affinity for animals.
By the time Undine returned to the people of the forest, her sister had already left with them (re: the people who disappeared into the lake) and was never heard from since, until Undine saw Seraphine in her crystal ball.
Seraphine believes that "Shin Makoku is about to be destroyed by the forbidden boxes." And what' the best way to ensure the boxes can't destroy Shin Makoku? Kill all the keys!
Yuuri's so cute though. He doesn't understand why the eye people were attacking Gwendal XD
"Using the power of water, they move through dimensions. Only chosen ones with power can do this. However…" It would be a simple thing for Seraphine to do.
Taking charge of the situation, Yuuri suggests they return to the castle and come up with a strategy. Gwendal says he'll alert the soldiers while Conrart tells them to be cautious around water. Murata suggests draining all the fountains and baths.
Shori looks a little lost at Yuuri's transformation. When did his little brother grow up?
With all the commotion going on, Shori is told to get some rest because he's under foot and even Yuuri doesn't need him as he's in conference with Murata and Wolfram.
"Protecting Yuu-chan, huh? The only thing I can do is watch."
I think he's finally starting to get it ^^
My oh my. What deliciousness do we have here? Shori's posed rather provocatively on the bed and he has a visitor? *licks lips in anticipation*
Wolfram tells Shori that sleeping is the wise thing to do. "In this state of emergency, your brother would only suffer shame if his powerless brother were to loiter around."
Shori bounds to his feet and tells Wolfram to stop! After several seconds, Shori's adam's apple bobs. Methinks he's getting turned on by Wolfram's gaze. I think he's willing to listen to Wolfram's proposal from early. He wants 'power.'
Eh? Why is Uma popping up and breaking the tension! *shake fist* But at least we know he missed Jennifer's home cooking. So much so, he had to take off work to see her.
Sharon: "I'd heard that Japanese salarymen are diligent workers, but…"
Jose: "There are exceptions too."
Their reunion is short-lived however since the big evil eye men appear out of the bathtub and attack Bob.
When normal methods of retaliation don't work, Bob throws off his clothe and jumps into the fray! Using his kick boxing skills (assuming), Bob kicks some evil booty.
But he's not nearly as impressive as Jennifer who jumps in with a broken mop handle and takes on the evil overlord! At least Uma-chan gets a moment to shine as he sacrifices himself to save Jennifer. Thankfully, it's only a scratch.
After facing off against Bob and using her wits to deflect his Maryoku, the evil overlord is confronted once more by Jennifer who managed to unmask her! Her coverage blown, the evil overlord summons water dragons to flood the room and they disappear into the water…
Jose should never have mentioned that everyone in Shin Makoku has escaped danger countless times. It IS Shoris first visit over there >_>
While Jennifer's worried for Shori's safety, Shori appears to be getting married and takes a cup of water from Wolfram. Drinking it, we end the episode so they can smex in peace.
AN: I hope you enjoyed my snark! This is my last episode so of course I had to take all the Shori caps out of context. I hope you didn't mind XD I've had a lot of fun doing these posts, even if I fell way behind in watching this series (I'm still back in the 20's >_>) but once I get a chance, I fully intend to read through all the posts. You've all done a marvelous job and thanks so much for the comments! I've had a lot of fun and it wouldn't have been half as enjoyable without you guys.
