I agree, although, correct me if I'm wrong, I remember reading somewhere that Wolfram was very influenced by his human hating uncle... *scratches head*
And then there’s the whole idea that Dan Hiri chose Gwendal, not Conrart, to be with him when he died
Yes, I've always wondered if Conrart didn't resent Gwendal a little bit for that. Of course, Dan Hiri might have spoken to Conrart about it on that last journey, telling his son he would would outlive his father due to his demon blood, but I still think it might have caused some tension in the relationship between the brothers, back when they were little.
A lot of me thinks that has to do with Dan Hiri’s life as a swordsman and being able to honor his opponent, and so he recognizes Gwendal’s begrudging respect and also respects Gwendal for never giving up and for striving to catch up to the person he pursues.
Again, YES. Clearly we are mind twins. ;)
